After four weeks at a Manchester inbound marketing agency, I’ve started to feel a lot more involved. I now understand what different marketing terms mean and the effects they can have on the business.
Every day I hear the words “traffic” and “leads” spoken around the office. At first, I didn’t have a clue what people were talking about, but thanks to my HubSpot revision it all makes a lot more sense.
Sitting my HubSpot exam
When I first saw ‘revise for HubSpot Inbound exam’ on my to do list, I thought to myself, “oh no… not revision, I thought I got away from that when I left school.”
However, the topics are actually really interesting and provide more of an insight to what it’s like working at an inbound marketing agency. There are 12 videos on the HubSpot Academy website which you can make your way through at your own pace. The main theme that crops up during each video is how the topic fits in with the inbound methodology.
Six & Flow has encouraged me to revise for the Inbound exam as they are a HubSpot gold partner, and many of their clients use the platform. Over the past week I have tried to crack down hard on this, as I want to get the exam done and passed!
One of my favourite things about the way they teach is the set of questions provided for you at the end of each video, which you can answer if you like. These give me a good indication as to whether I understood the video, and if I haven’t then I can watch it over again. Plus, when you get the questions right, you definitely feel like you are a step closer to passing the exam!
Mondays at a Manchester inbound marketing agency
Every Monday here at Six & Flow, we have a meeting where the Managing Director (Rich) updates us on any new projects or upcoming deadlines. This is a great way for everyone to know what the rest of the team is working on, and help with tasks that someone else is busy with.
Last week I started to work on a client that I haven’t worked on before. This was exciting for me because it shows that I am progressing, and also allows another person in the team to get on with something else - both are great feelings. I started to create some designs on graphic design software Canva to use on the client’s social media account, which was fun.
Last week we started to create some videos for clients too. I started to have a play around on video creation software, and hope that I can start to make videos for different clients in the near future.
Working at an inbound marketing agency in Manchester is extremely exciting. Travelling into the city centre every day does not get boring. Even though it’s the same journey, you see different faces and different events going on during the day, not to mention the Christmas markets at night.
Speaking of Christmas, my first Christmas work’s party is coming up soon, which I am extremely excited for. I won’t spill the beans as of yet to what we are doing, I’ll give you a full update on the night once it’s happened!
Working with a HubSpot partner agency can complement the technical side of the HubSpot software and introduce a hugely-effective inbound marketing campaign that can take your business to the next level of growth.
